The 8th grade was studying a unit on Weather and Ms. Jeffrey's classes decided to use technology to learn about different types of weather. They used the web site edheads.org and the Interactive Weather activity to learn about how to predict and measure weather. We learned about different types of weather systems, fronts, wind speed, and a lot more. The students answered questions about each activity using these Google Forms that the teachers created. Interactive Weather Day 1 Interactive Weather Day 2 Interactive Weather Day 3
After the students finished their Interactive Weather activities, they broke up into groups and chose an extreme weather event that they were going to research and create a Podcast on. Some of the topics that were chosen were Tornadoes, Hurricanes, Snow/Blizzards, Rain/Thunderstorms, and Hail Storms. Below are some of the podcasts that the students created.
